Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to run this site and respond to your enquiries. This page explains what we do with your data, who else sees it, and how you can tell us to stop.
Who is responsible
Devtide Ltd. is the data controller for this website. You can contact us through the contact form on this website. Postal contact: Devtide Ltd., Limassol, Cyprus. If we appoint a Data Protection Officer, we will publish those contact details on this page.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted in the European Union. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, requested URL, timestamp) for up to seven days, used solely to operate the service and protect it from abuse. These logs are not used for analytics and are not shared with third parties. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Cookies and consent
We use strictly necessary storage technologies so the site works correctly. This includes a consent record stored in your browser local storage (key: devtide_cookie_consent). If strictly necessary session or security cookies are used by the framework, they are limited to technical operation. Analytics identifiers (for example Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*) are only stored after your opt-in. You can change your preferences at any time. Consent choices remain on your device until you change them, clear browser storage, or we rotate the consent version.
Google Analytics 4
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand which pages are useful and where readers get stuck. We use Consent Mode v2, IP anonymisation, and have disabled advertising features. Google may process data on servers in the United States.
Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), your consent. No analytics data is collected before you opt in, and you can withdraw consent at any time from cookie settings. International transfers are protected by adequacy decisions and/or Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. You can request a copy or reference to these safeguards through the contact form. Analytics data is retained according to the configured retention period in our GA4 property and deleted automatically when that period expires.
Contact form and email
When you contact us through the form or by email we receive your name, email, optional company, and message. Name, email, and message are required so we can respond; if you do not provide them, we cannot process your request. Providing this data is not a statutory or contractual obligation, but it is necessary to handle your enquiry. We use this data only to reply to your enquiry. We keep enquiries for up to twenty four months unless we agree on a longer engagement, in which case standard business records retention applies. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) where you ask us to enter into a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Depending on your use of this site, recipients may include our EU hosting provider, our email provider for enquiry handling, and Google Analytics (only if you consent). Processors are bound by data processing agreements and act on our instructions.
Your rights under GDPR
You can exercise the following rights at any time by sending us a request through the contact form. We respond within thirty days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, under GDPR Art. 22 for this website.
